Your Guide to a DIY Brewery Tour in Blue Ridge 🍻

Hey There! 😊

Looking for a fun and easy activity in Blue Ridge? Why not create your own brewery tour? The town has several great spots perfect for a casual “pub crawl.” Here’s a guide to three of the most popular breweries you can visit.

  1. Grumpy Old Men Brewing

This is the oldest and arguably most popular brewery in town. You’ll find it right in downtown Blue Ridge. It’s a great spot to relax with family and friends, including your leashed dogs, thanks to its large outdoor seating area with cornhole boards.

You’ll find a wide variety of brews, from light beers and IPAs to malty beers, seltzers, and sours. They even have a few non-alcoholic options. Enjoy karaoke on most Thursdays and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Food is available from Thursday to Saturday, with snacks offered on other days.

  1. Tipping Point Brewing

For a beautiful view, head to Tipping Point Brewing. This brewery is located on the second story of a downtown building, offering a stunning view of the city park and surrounding area.

While Tipping Point has snacks, they encourage you to bring food from nearby restaurants. You can easily walk to Cucinellas Pizzeria, Kurokoi, Bites by Ferraro, The Locker Room, and Ferraro’s Kitchen to grab a bite to enjoy with your drink. The brewery offers a huge variety of beverages, including lagers, pilsners, various ales, sours, seltzers, IPAs, a porter, and an even an Irish stout! You can also enjoy trivia on Mondays and live music on weekends. Your entire family and dogs are welcome here, too!

  1. Angry Hops Brewing

This is the newest brewery on the scene and has quickly become a local favorite. You can find it on the other side of downtown Blue Ridge, opposite Grumpy Old Men Brewing.

Angry Hops Brewing is the perfect spot for some casual fun, offering free bingo on Tuesdays. You’ll also find food trucks next door from time to time. If you’re looking for a meal, a new tapas restaurant is within walking distance, so you can grab food to bring in and enjoy with your drink. Their beer menu includes a selection of IPAs, lagers, pilsners, ales, and sours.
