Rock Creek is a National fish hatchery location in the Chattahoochee National Forest. They release 324,000 rainbow trout into the stream annually along with 460,000 other fish. Rock Creek is a trophy trout stream and fly fishing is highly recommended if you wish to catch large trout but certainly not required. Rock Creek is only open certain times of year and has strict limitations on the type of license required and limits allowed so please call the national forest service with any questions ahead of time. When you arrive at the hatchery, you can fish there or park your car along Rock Creek Road at the various shoulders and walk down to fish.

Horseshoe Bend Park is a perfect spot to take the family for a day of fishing and family fun. This park has several easy access points to the river for conventional and fly fishing. It also features 2 pavilions, a gazebo, restrooms, 2 playgrounds, horseshoe pits, voleyball nets, and more. This particular area of the lower Toccoa River is stocked and rainbow trout are plentiful. Drop a line in and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Blue Ridge mountains. This is a public fishing area and no fee is required. A Georgia issued fishing license is required to fish legally.

Below Blue Ridge Dam
Below Blue Ridge dam is a public fishing area on the lower portion of the Toccoa River. This are is just minutes from Blue Ridge, just 1 mile from Lakewood Highway. There is no fee required. You must have a Georgia fishing license to fish legally.

Blue Ridge Dam
Blue Ridge Dam is a great place to try your hand at a little lake fishing. It is located on the well known Lake Blue Ridge, which is famous for is population of walleye, large and smallmouth bass, brim, catfish, trout, and more. This is a public fishing area that requires no fee. You must have a Georgia issued fishing license to fish legally.
